YouOwn
What is YouOwn?
YouOwn offers a shared home ownership model, which allows you to get a foot on the property ladder and the confidence of your own roof over your head.
How does YouOwn work?
With a deposit of just 5%, it may be possible to own your own home with YouOwn. You buy a portion of the property and YouOwn help with the rest.
You pay a charge on the YouOwn portion and after five years, you can buy the share back from YouOwn or when you are able to. This type of ownership model makes it possible for New Zealanders with a smaller deposit to own a new home.

YouOwn can help you complete documentation to withdraw any KiwiSaver funds (if applicable) and you sign the loan documents with the bank.
The balance of the purchase price is paid, the bank registers a mortgage over the property, and you move in!
